Fulham target Trotters' ageless 'contract rebel'

For some people, age is just a number that they don’t think about, like that Sikh fellow that runs all of those marathons at the age of 101. For others, ageing seems to be a thing that doesn’t actually happen to them.

Take Nigel Reo-Coker for example who has been around for God-knows how many years (though Wikipedia actually says 2002 but by Jove does it feel longer than that, perhaps because he played for the original Wimbledon it kinda dates him).

On the subject of Nigel Reo-Coker, the Daily Mirror reports today that the midfielder is the subject of interest from Fulham.

Reo-Coker, who is currently at Bolton, has become a ‘contract rebel’ apparently by activating a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave the club in the wake of the Trotters’ relegation from the Premier League.

The Cottagers have lost midfielder Danny Murphy this summer already and though Reo-Coker would not be a like-for-like replacement, they are still interested in the Londoner who might fancy a move back home to the capital.
