      Loyalty At Its Best

In football, there are times where you expect the unexpected. Players have moved on from various clubs when they have said they would extend their stays in the media or through a statement.

In this case, it's completely the opposite as Danish starlet Christian Eriksen is intending to stay at Ajax despite a number of European clubs tracking his progress, according to his agent.

Eriksen has enjoyed two successful years in Amsterdam after securing back-to-back league titles with the Dutch club and recently played for his country at Euro 2012. Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been a keen admirer of the 20-year-old for a long while and Ferguson saw Eriksen play against his United side in the Europa League last season.

In the past, Eriksen has felt that he should stay with Ajax to continue his footballing development where the former European Cup winners have produced the likes of Johan Cruyff, Dennis Bergkamp and Wesley Sneijder.

Martin Schoots told bold.dk: "I can't reveal details about which clubs we are in contact with. I can only say that Christian still wants to stay at Ajax."

"It is obvious that he will leave Ajax one day. Like other good players, it is natural for him to move on, but for the moment it is his intention to stay."
