Three way chase for French youngster

It is one of the largest problems facing young players today; just who do you join when the big clubs come calling?
Picture the scene; you’re 17, you’ve worked your way up through the academy of your local side, banging in the goals, attracting attention in the press and now the scouts from the biggest clubs in the world have been watching you on a regular basis. But just what club do you choose?
The natural answer would be to pick the best club you could possibly get to put a contract down in front of you but what if that club could ruin your career by stunting your growth with lots of bigger name professionals blocking your way to the first team.
That is the dilemma facing 17-year-old M’Baye Niang of French outfit Caen with Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs sniffing around the striker.
The Daily Mirror reports City have stolen a march on the other two clubs with the Etihad top brass Brian Harwood personally approaching Caen to invite Niang to visit the club although Spurs have done likewise and he has already spent time at the Gunners.
Niang is set to make his mind up on a move before the end of the transfer window and would set back his suitors £6million but there could be other factors at play when it comes to deciding who is the best option for him for his long term future.
