Roma to lose another to the Premier League?

It's a bit harsh on Roma for the clubs of the English Premier League to declare L'assaiz faire on the resources of the Giallorossi, but that's exactly what is going on this summer. The poor soul Zdenek Zeman has only been in his managerial post at the Stadio Olimpico for just over a month, but after contending with one striker leaving, he may have to cope with another.
Hot on the heels of Liverpool's acquisition of striker Fabio Borini, comes news that Newcastle United are looking to take Bojan Krkic to Tyneside with left-back Davide Santon heading in the opposite direction as a makeweight.
Talksport are reporting through Italian Corriere Dello Sport that Newcastle have contacted Roma about a proposed deal as Alan Pardew remains concerned about the depth of his strikeforce.
Having lost Leon Best to Blackburn and with doubts about the future of Demba Ba, Pardew is keen to bolster his attacking options and sees 21 year old Krkic, who struggled in his debut year with Roma, as a possible solution.
Former Inter Milan man Santon, who made 24 appearances in Newcastle's expectation-usurping season of last time out, would be willing to move back to Italy with an established club and Roma could fit the bill.
One slight hitch, according to Goal.com, maybe an apparent clause in Bojan's contract that will allow Barcelona to take their youth product back to the Nou Camp should any deal be reached with the Magpies, or any other interested club for that matter.
