      Fernandes' spending hasn't finished yet

After narrowly surviving the threat of relegation by a margin as thin as the proverbial knife-edge on the last day of the season, QPR wasted no time in getting busy with the business of squad improvement in order for Mark Hughes' team to make a better fist of life in the top tier next time round.

A busy week has seen the arrival of the endlessly-energetic Ji Sung Park from Manchester United and the contract renewal of the virtuoso Adel Taarabt at Loftus Road, but owner Tony Fernandes isn't ready to call it quits just yet, promising more is yet to come.

Quoted by Sky Sports, airway tycoon Fernandes said that two or three more signings are likely to be in the pipeline as he voiced his deep satisfaction at the work his side have done in the market, signing the likes of Andrew Johnson and Ryan Nelsen, so far this summer.

Who are these signings I hear you ask.... well, Fernandes wasn't specific, but a potential move for Blackburn's Junior Hoilett could be over already as he flies to Moncengladbach for talks with Bundesliga club Borussia. Rangers had previously been in pole position for the signature of the tricky Canadian winger.

The London Evening Standard however, says all is not over as the club will quickly move on from a Hoilett rejection to launch an audacious bid for Liverpool winger Craig Bellamy.

Bellamy, 33, has just one year left on his deal at Anfield and QPR boss Hughes may be tempted to reunite himself with the Welshman, having managed him for both Wales and Manchester City.

Amidst all the excitement at players coming into Loftus Road, one has indeed gone the other way today, as Akos Buzsaky rejected a new contract offer in order to put an end to his four year spell in the capital.
