Tottenham see headway but nothing on Lloris

It seems like new Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas has gotten all of the bitterness hung-over from his short-lived time at Chelsea and has now settled down to sort out his squad at Spurs.
After being hot on the trail of Ajax's Jan Vertonghen for a while, Sky Sports have reported that a move has finally been completed for the Belgian defender after passing a medical.
The 25 year old centre-half follows Gylfi Sigurdsson through the entry gate at White Hart Lane to become Villas-Boas' second Spurs signing and like an excited pensioner on a day-trip to the market, it's time to go hunting for some more sales.
Tottenham have been consistently linked with Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho as they chase a replacement for the inevitably outbound Luka Modric, but news that Porto are opportunistically asking for an obscene £31 million may see Villlas Boas and his chairman Daniel Levy run for the safety of their accountant.
A goalkeeper also appears to be on the shopping list for Villas Boas with French number 1 Hugo Lloris a rumoured name, but Lyon chairman John-Michel Aulas has told L'Equipe, as reported by Sky Sorts, that no official bid has been submitted by Spurs for the 25 year old keeper.
The Daily Mail say that £16 million will be enough for the North London club to land their man, but they'll have to find the funds soon according to the no-messing supremo Aulas, who has set a deadline of Monday for any offer to be made.
