Hughton plans to add to his Norwich squad.

Chris Hughton has been in his new job as Norwich City boss just over a month and he's barely had 5 minutes to sit down and admire the East Anglian air. Hughton has had to convince his best striker to stay amidst his voiceferous desire to move away from Carrow Road, and he's also added two players to his inherited squad.

Hughton has kept on the legacy of predecessor Paul Lambert by bringing in two promising, young British players in Jacob Butterfield and Steven Whittaker, with the latter awaiting ratification from the SPL following a move from bankrupt Rangers.

John Ruddy, Andrew Surman and Russell Martin have all penned new deals to sign up to the fresh era, but Hughton's next task will be to add to his resources in order for the Canaries to push on from last season's impressive 12th placed Premier League finish.

ITV link both Birmingham's Curtis Davies and Burnley captain Chris McCann with moves to Carrow Road, with Hughton saying that he does have the funds, reported, rather bullishly, to be the biggest in the club's history, should he wish to improve on the squad at his disposal.

Hughton told Radio 5 Live, as reported by Sky Sports, that he is fully appreciative of the job Paul Lambert has done over the past three years and accepts that his responsibility will be to carry the upward curve on, starting with this summer.

Already a busy time for Hughton and there seems to be no sign of that stopping at Norwich. Better to be productive though, eh?
