      Nothing stopping the QPR dream.

Anything can happen in football, so goes the old adage that we are constantly reminded of, but to achieve the truly outlandish, it certainly helps if you have money. That is was QPR have money, and lots of it with their backing from airline mogul Tony Fernandes and they are ready to flex their financial muscle in the shop window.

But who would have thought the 26-goal striker of the French League Champions would be subject of a bid from the Premier League side that stayed up by the skin of their teeth on the final day of last season?

Well that is apparently happening according to the Daily Mail who say that QPR boss Mark Hughes is scouring the funny pages to find that all too-rare breed of a proven goal-scorer and he has found his man, 25 year old forward Olivier Giroud.

Frenchman Giroud seemingly tops the bill after a sensational year where he fired Montpellier to the French Ligue 1 title and with a hinted £12 million release cause in his contract, the physical striker may prove to be relatively cheap, despite the chairman of the French Champions, Louis Nicollin, getting carried away and quoting a massive £50 million fee for the striker back in December.

Rangers may find competition in the form of Arsenal as they look for the same type of goal-scoring forward, but the Gunner's attention may shift to other targets Salomon Rondon and Seydou Doumbia.

In other Loftus Road talk, they are also reportedly in the market for a new goalkeeper as Sky Sports have said that they are open to offers for current number 1, Paddy Kenny.

Hughes, showing his best bargain-basement price, is apparently willing to shift Kenny for £300,000 with Leeds thought to be heading the chasing pack.
