Wenger eyes up a Rolls Reus

Arsene Wenger has come over all Sherlock Holmes as a result of his pursuit of another German international in the wake of Arsenal’s signing of Lukas Podolski.
The Frenchman has said that he is “on the case” with regards to German midfielder Marco Reus according to the Daily Star making him sound like the Arthur Conan Doyle character as he pursues a suspect in a murder case.
Aside from the fact that most people cannot imagine Wenger using such words in any quote , let us explore this rumour in more detail.
Wenger commentates on European football for French television channel TF1 and during the Germany-Greece game ex-French international was asked by fellow analyst Bixente Lizarazu if he was “on the case” of Reus to which Wenger responded “yes” which clears up the issue of the dubious nature of Wenger speaking in the manner of Holmes.
It looks a little bit of a weak link but that is what the whole summer window of transfer rumours is all about so why not use the link to elaborate a rumour on.
Reus, who is known as Rolls Reus in Germany because he Germans like puns which makes them ok by me, starred in Borussia Dortmund’s defence of their Bundesliga title who paid £14m for him back in January so would be keen to keep the rising star.
