    Inevitably, more Modric rumours

Just like the small child that only takes an interest in a toy after one of their fellows has taken an interest in it, a Spanish giant are planning a bid for a Tottenham midfielder that Manchester United have been linked with.

The Daily Mail have reported that Croatian schemer Luka Modric is close to moving to Real Madrid, despite yesterday’s reports that the midfielder will join United.

The Mail’s certainty about the imminence of the move comes from a quote from Modric’s friend (apparently) and ex-Croatia team-mate Mate Bilic (or Modric’s mate Mate if you prefer).

The Sporting Gjion striker said: “I’m very good friends with Modric. He wants to play in the Spanish league. He loves the Premier League but he wants to play in Spain. He’s very close to agreeing a move.”

Ex-Croatia and Real Madrid striker Davor Suker has waded into the debate too, claiming that Real Madrid would suit Modric but he’ll end up at Chelsea or Manchester City if he doesn’t move to the Bernabeu.

Suker said: “Luka Modric is a player who could play for Real Madrid. He needs to be playing for a team that will win trophies. He’d be perfect for them.

Real Madrid gaffer Jose Mourinho is believed to be a long term admirer of the midfielder and would like to bring him in as he pursues his dream of a third Champions League trophy with his third club.

The only problem I see with this story is as Follows
    1) Spurs don't want to sell and he is still under contract till 2015
    2) The Mail and Sun are all taking this up are they working as an agent for him if so isn't this called tapping
    up
    3) Has Modders come out and actually said he wants to leave
    4) It seems all his so called friends are making money by giving quotes these papers are paying out lots of
money and I hope it bites them in the backside as Levy will do what he wants like last summer.
