Hammers target Real Madrid striker

In the olden days, nothing got the fans of a newly promoted club’s blood pumping more than being linked with a name at a big club; the glamour, the prestige, the eventual flop signing. That’s the dream right there.
Now, thanks to the globalisation of football, you’ve gotta push the boat out a bit with who you’re going to be linked with and that’s what’s happened to West Ham in the Mirror.
The paper reports that West Ham’s popular gaffer Sam Allardyce has made a cut price offer for Real Madrid striker Joselu.
The Spanish under-21 striker scored 26 goals for Real Madrid’s B team last season and they’re allegedly willing to let him go either on loan from the club or being sold with a buy back option in the contract.
West Ham are said to have offered Real a buy back price of £1.5m for next summer or a 2m buy back for the year after that which Madrid have rejected.
The Spanish giants are holding out for a £7m offer for the 22-year-old but West Ham are unwilling bid this high and may seek a loan move instead for the player scouted by Arsenal last season.
