Dost awaits offers

If you don't know the name of Dutch under-21 striker Bas Dost, you will do now as he becomes the subject of interest of many clubs around Europe, or at least that is what his boastful agent says.
Dost's agent, Carmine Coviello, has said that his client is being chased by a host of European clubs. In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.com, the Italian agent said the striker's value has gone up after a fertile season in the EreDivisie for Herenveen, but the Dutch club will be likely to settle between £10 and £12 million euros.
The 23 year old Dost appears to be a more wanted man in Europe than WikiLeaks man Julian Assange and after a season where he snaffled 32 goals, it is plain to see why his agent believes that every club known to man are after his player.
Wolfsburg were reported as leading the chase for the Dutchman earlier in the week, but West Ham and Everton are also believed to be interested, whilst Sky Sports also say that Genoa, Bologna and Fiorentina are after the much sought-after striker who has an alarmingly good record of 45 goals in 66 appearances for Herenveen.
While the scramble is on to pluck the striker away from the obscure shores of the EreDivisie, his agent perhaps believes Dost can line up the deck chair and await the offers to fly in as Coviello went on to say that his player is waiting for an "important" offer from Italy or England.
Anywhere in England? No, as Aston Villa found Dost wasn't open to just signing his future to any old club as the Midlands club were recently rejected by the striker according to his mouthy agent. Then Villa manager Alex McLeish refuted the claims in his gruff Scottish manner.
It remains to be seen where Dost and his goalscoring touch will end up, but it literally could be anywhere.
