      Kagawa nearing Old Trafford move

After what appears to have been a fruitless chase to sign Eden Hazard, Manchester United are closing in on a £12million deal to sign Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund.

The Japanese midfielder has long been linked with a move to Manchester, and it appears that the German champions are willing to accept a fee of £12million, potentially rising to £17.5million with add-ons.

Thomas Kroth, the players agent, has travelled to the far east to discuss the move with his client, who has previously admitted to meeting with United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 23 old, who cost Dortmund just £275,000, earns £15,000 a week, so personal terms shouldn't prove to be a stumbling block for the Red Devils according to Team Talk.

The BVB number 23 scored, an impressive, 13 goals from midfield last season; as well as notching up 11 assists.

United fans will hope he has a similar impact on the Premiership next season.
