Ahmedov hoping for Emirates move

Anzhi Makhachkala have, seemingly, limitless wealth; for Ohil Ahmedov, though, money isn't everything.
The Uzbekistan midfield man has recently admitted that he hopes that Arsenal revive their interest in him, although a move to North London would hardly see the 24 year old shopping in the value meals section of his local supermarket.
After joining Guus Hiddink's men in February 2011, Ahmedov claimed that the Gunners were interested in signing him. Despite his claims never materialising, he hasn't given up on realising his dream of playing Premier League football.
The former Pahktakor Tashkent man told regnum.ru: 'I'd like to try out playing football in England and the team I favour the most is Arsenal.'
The defensive midfielder, who has been deployed a centre back, says that he is happy with his progress in the Russian league but would be tempted by a move to England or Spain, Sky Sports reported.
'I'm satisfied with my own performance in the Russian league but if there is an offer from Spain or England then I won't say no,' he said.
Arsene Wenger could see Ahmedov, who was voted Anzhi's best player in 2011, as an alternative to Yann M'Vila, with whom they have been heavily linked.
