Mancini told to forget AC Milan stars

As is in evidence time and time and time and time again, rich and famous footballers have a habit of climbing into a bed with a woman who isn’t technically their wife. In a similar fashion, rich football clubs have a habit of exposing themselves to other clubs’ footballers in an attempt to sway them over their way under the “We’re rich, we do what we want” school of football transfer negotiation.

Spinning the bottle around, today it lands on Manchester City who have been scolded and told in no uncertain terms to keep their dirty hands to themselves by AC Milan or, to be more specific, AC Milan’s coach Massimliano Allegri according to a story in the Daily Express.

The issue stems from informal talks held between City gaffer and scarf-enthusiast Roberto Mancini and AC vice-president Adriano Galliani over a possible deal that would bring Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to the Etihad with either Carlos Tevez or Mario Balotelli going the other way along with a figurative barrel load of cash.

Mancini has long been an admirer of the £65m-rated pair and wishes to being them to the Premier League but Ibrahimovic is under contract until 2015 whilst Silva is tied to AC until the end of the 2015-16 season and Allegri has made it clear that neither of the two are for sale.

Allegri said; “The club and the president are keen to maintain AC Milan at a high level. Thiago and Ibrahimovic will remain here. Thiago is young and Ibrahimovic can also give a lot. They are two champions on which Milan can build their basis for the future. The club are only working on replacing those players who have left.”
