      Hull: No Hurry

Hull City are in not looking to appoint a new manager immediately after the departure of Nick Barmby according to Ehab Allam, the vice chairman, as reported by Team Talk.

Barmby, born on Humberside, was sacked last week after originally being suspended for questioning the boards financial ambition via the media.

The Tigers, who were relegated from the top flight in 2010, have been linked with a host of names with Phil Brown, who managed Hull to the Premiership, and Mick McCarthy, sacked by Wolves in February, said to be in the running.

Allam speaking to The Hull Daily Mail insisted that patience was on the agenda: 'I can understand the concerns of fans and the fact that they want to see a manager in place as quickly as possible.

'I didn't envisage having to go through this process at this time, but that's the situation we're in.

'Thankfully though, we are at the start of the off-season, so there's a bit of time for us and we don't have to rush into anything.

'We don't want the matter to drag on and we recognise the need to bring some stability to matters. But having said that, I'm not putting any deadline on it.'

Supporters of the KC Stadium outfit will hope that when the time is right, the man will be right.
