      Soccer-mania in north London?

Soccer-mania could be set to star in north-London with the news that the Premier League’s favourite American and Fulham star Clint Dempsey could make the move across the capital with Arsenal and Tottenham both said to be interested.

After finding the net an incredible 21 times this term for the Cottagers, Dempsey is rated at £10m and Harry Redknapp and Arsene Wenger could be tempted to spend some major dollars to lure the player away from west London.

The USA international is widely regarded as easily the best American to ply his trade in the Premier League and the 29-year old has said he will decide where his future lies in the summer

“We’ll see what happens. Some of my best memories have been at Fulham”. Dempsey told the Sun.

“I still have this season and one more at the club. I’m talking with Fulham but we’ll see in the summer.

“I just want to focus on my football and helping the club finish in the top half. That other stuff can take care of itself.”

Corndogs and burgers could be on the menu at the Emirates and White Hart Lane next season but not if Fulham boss Martin Jol has anything to say about that, with the former Ajax boss hopeful of his talisman signing a new deal at the club.

“Hopefully he’ll sign it. He knows what this club is all about; that he’s an important player for us and that we’d like to keep him.” Jol said.

“I’ve had players like Luis Suarez play for me and score 53 goals in one season so Clint has a long way to go before that.

“But he’s not a No 9, he’s a wide player who can also play in midfield — so he’s a complete player.”

Dempsey, the only man in London who would be forgiven for calling football soccer could be a champions league player next term.
