Whites near Aidy deal

Leeds United are close to agreeing a new contract for left sided player, Aidy White.

Having seen White reject their previous offer in December, Leeds upped their terms and boss Neil Warnock is confident that the 20 year old will accept his new bid.

'We're finalising a contract offer that we should be getting to him in seven days I think.

The youngster, who made his debut at 16, could be out for the rest of the season after limping off in last weeks defeat at the hands of Watford. White later left Elland Road on crutches.

Warnock added, on the injury: 'There's no break in it, that's the good thing, but I'd be very surprised if he plays again this season and it's a shame because he's done very well.'
