    Pulis-shaped vulture circles Molineux

The great Wolves relegation-induced player exodus (or rumours of it at the very least) has begun even before the actual event of relegation has happened.

According to the Daily Star, Stoke want to play the part of vulture circling around an unfortunate soon to be carcass by picking off a Matt Jarvis-sized chunk off the Wolves potential corpse.

The report states that Stoke manager and face of baseball cap wearing Tony Pulis will pounce if/when the minute Wolves’ relegation is confirmed and will put in a £6million bid for the winger.

Wolves will have to cut their wage bill in the event of relegation and Pulis would want to take advantage of this before other clubs can get their dirty hands on the same targets.

The 25-year-old one cap wonder (thus far anyway, on both counts actually come to think of it) has three years left to run on his contract at Molineux but has impressed with his two-footed-ness, his eye for goal and number of assists in his time in the Premier League.

Should the move come to fruition, it may well spell the end for Jermaine Pennant’s time at the Britannia after the latest of his run-ins with Pulis, this time taking to a well known platform for player and manager disputes (Twitter) to express his frustration at a lack of game time this season. Though, Pulis has stressed he has no problem with Pennant despite this outburst which might well fall under the same bracket as “the board has every confidence in the manager despite the recent run of results”.
