      Tangerines in Bednar loss

Blackpool may have lost on loan West Brom striker Roman Bednar until the end of the season due to knee ligament damage.

After scoring his first goal for Ian Holloway's side last Tuesday, Bednar suffered a knee ligament injury. The scan confirmed the Seasiders worst fears, although the time scale is not yet known due to heavy swelling around the joint.

The 28 year old remains hopeful that he will play more games in the Lancashire club's race for the play offs, though.

'It has been stop-start since I came here and that is annoying because I am really enjoying my time at the club,' he said to The Blackpool Gazette.

'I like the lads here and get on well with the gaffer, and all I want to do is play for the team and try to get the club promoted. The supporters are amazing and the atmosphere at home games is terrific.

'It was great to get that first goal but the injury just ruined the night. I can only hope that it turns out not to be too serious and that I can come back before the end of the season.'

The Czech striker has made 9 appearances, on loan, for the seaside club this term.
