Ricardo Fuller to leave the Potteries

Stoke City’s big Jamaican striker Ricardo Fuller could be on the verge of ending his six year stint at the Britannia as he grows tired of warming the bench for Tony Pulis’ side.
That is the view of the Daily Mirror who say Fuller, having made only one first team appearance this season, is keen on the idea of playing football again on a Saturday afternoon and is looking to take the option of going on a free transfer.
The striker, who has a bit of a fondness for red and white stripes after playing at Southampton before arriving at the Potters in 2006 for a £500,000 a week deal (a right good bargain in the modern day era old chap) is out of contract at the end of the season and no new deal has been agreed.
Sky Sports report that a number of clubs are monitoring the situation, named by the Daily Mirror as Wigan, Crystal Palace and Cardiff as Fuller may be prepared to drop down a division to pursue a new challenge.
The Daily Mail also name Ipswich Town as one of the cubs leading the chase for the out of favour striker who has hit 50 goals from 205 appearances since arriving in Staffordshire.
He played a vital role in getting Pulis’ side to the Premier League and keeping them there, before an Achilles injury kept him out of the conclusion to the 2010-2011 season. It seems this dog has had its day in Stoke as he has fallen behind John Walters, Peter Crouch, Cameron Jerome and Kenwynne Jones in the pecking order.
Tony Pulis has not lost any love for the 32 year old Jamaican however, telling the Daily Mirror that Fuller is one of the finest players to ever play in Stoke.
