    Millwall hunt Oshodi

Championship club Millwall are closing in on safety at the bottom of the second tier and are already preparing a foray into the summer transfer dealings by targeting Forest Green defender Eddie Oshodi.

Sky Sports say that Millwall are among a cluster of clubs chasing the 20 year old after the player has attracted scouts a plenty to watch him in action for the Blue Square Premier club.

Former Watford centre-back Oshodi is out of contract at the end of the season and would be available for a nominal fee, drawing interest from a host of League One and Championship clubs and Sky Sports name Millwall as prime contenders.

Oshodi was highly rated at Watford before he was released last August to be snapped up by Forest Green and the youngster has gone to make a valuable contribution to the Gloucestershire club’s respectable season where they now lie 9th in the Conference.

The Lions of Millwall have leaked goals like a dodgy sink basin this season, shipping 54 goals as they have only just dragged themselves away from the relegation mire.

It is believed Oshodi, after a season of decent performances that have also landed the 6ft centre-half a place in the England C team in February, could fit the bill as the defensive plug-hole to solve the drain.

Millwall-related website News at Densay the player is unlikely to renew his deal despite the club wanting to keep hold of him, so manager Kenny Jackett has been placed very much on red alert.
