Arsenal Re Vamp Headed By In Form Dempsey

A Clint Dempsey to a top club story is not rare in recent weeks as the American attacker has been in superb form and Arsenal are a club getting aboard the Gravy Train according to the Daily Telegraph.

Dempsey is out of contract next summer and the 29 year old has not accepted a new contract yet as he would rather weigh up his options in the summer.

Wenger is rumoured to have been close to making a bid for Dempsey last summer as he was impressed by his consistency and versatility. With 22 goals so far this season his consistency is clear.

Martin Jol has recently described him as “indispensible” which is usually a big word to describe a player but it rings true for the Fulham star man.

The Cottagers obviously want to keep the 29 year old but it may be tough as more and more clubs are coming in for him and are made more aware of his situation.

With a deal for Lukas Podolski reportedly already agreed Dempsey would be another exciting signing at the Emirates as they look to take the form of the last few months into next year and a title push could be on the cards.
