Forest sign huge man

There has been a bit of action at the County Ground this morning as Nottingham Forest have managed to bring in the physically wonderful George Elokobi on an emergency loan deal.
Elokobi, who quite obviously spends a lot of time on the weights honing his body to resemble a military tank in human form, has been allowed to leave Molinuex to join his club-mate Adlene Guedioura in the East Midlands after Mick McCarthy saw all of his defenders return to fitness.
The deal will run until the 28th April which is the end of the Championship season, but should Wolves get a little emotional and realise how much they miss their Cameroonian left-back, they can take advantage of a 24 hour recall clause to bring him back immediately.
Even though Elokobi has fallen out of favour at Molinuex this season, only making eight appearances and a total of only 3 starts, this still resembles something of a coup for Forest and manager Steve Cotterill who tries to stock up on supplies to steer them away from the relegation zone despite a ball-pit of injuries, and Wes Morgan’s recent departure to Leicester City.
However, it is not like Cotterill is limping along with a wafer thin squad, oh no, Elokobi will now become the 32nd member of the playing staff down at the County Ground, but with injuries becoming so bad that young pup Jamaal Lascelles had to be promoted to the first-team, 26 year old Elokobi will undoubtedly add the experience, and the brut physicality, needed to assist in the scrap for survival.
In a dog-fight, there is arguably nobody better than the imposing defender who, with his fine frame, looks like he can scare any other hound away. Elokobi can play at centre-half and left-back but with Manchester City loanee Greg Cunningham out with a hamstring injury; it looks likely he will begin his spell in his familiar full-back spot.
Now with business completed, Forest do have an admirable depth at the back with the first choice quartet seemingly going to be Chris Gunter on the right alongside a centre-half pairing of Luke Chambers and Danny Higginbotham, who is another loanee, this time from Stoke.
Cotterill definitely does like his loan signing as in reserve, also sits Scott Wootton from Manchester United, who alongside Joel Lynch and Cunningham, will be fighting to get back into the side.
