Manchester United and Liverpool are set to battle each other yet again, this time for one of the hottest properties in world football.

The North-West rivals have both sent scouts to watch Athletico Bilbao star Iker Muniain, a 19 year-old winger who can also play further forward.

Both Kenny Dalglish and Sir Alex Ferguson are huge fans of the Basque player and are expecting reports on him as he makes his full international debut for Spain this week.

Fergie may be ahead of his rival with the the teenager counting United goalkeeper David De Gea amongst his best friends.

It may take a lot of persuading and ahuge transfer fee to entice the player to Engand however, with Muniain a patriotic Basque national, with evidence of this in his interview after finding out his call-up to the Spanish team-

"I know many playing for Athletic have played for Spain. It shows I'm doing well and also increases the profile of the club." he said.
