Spurs after Bilbao star man

Tottenham Hotspur look set to cash in on Athletic Bilbao forward and convince him to leave Spain in January.

It seems that time is up with regards to Fernando Llorente’s career at Athletic Bilbao as he eyes up a new challenge and new career elsewhere.

Llorente has stated that he will leave Bilbao when his contract ends in the summer, however Spurs will be prepared to spend a cash reduction price of £7 million to cash in on the player.

Last season Llorente was on fire for Bilbao as he scored 17 goals as he was the top scorer for the club.

This season has been a bit of a nightmare for Llorente as he has been forced to sit and watch from the sideline as he won’t sign a new deal. Bit harsh yes! But when Bilbao are desperate to keep their prize possession they will go to drastic measures to keep him.

If Spurs want Llorente then they will have to act fast as the Bilbao man is catching the eye of many clubs in Europe, in particular Juventus who are very interested in the Spaniard as well.
