Redknapp the latest to show interest in Diame

Its hard to figure out exactly what or when it happened but it seems that Mohamed Diame is suddenly amongst the most wanted men in the Premier League, with The Mirror reporting that Harry Redknapp and QPR are now tracking him.

Diame to be fair to him has been in superb form this season and has been one of the driving forces behind West Ham's current mid table placing and with him currently out injured the Hammers only look half the side they were with him in the line up. However it still seems bizarre that a player who was not always a consistent starter at Wigan is now being targeted by teams of the standard of Arsenal.

Quite how liquid Rangers interest is in the Senegeleese remains to be seen and the fact that Diame is currently out of action for at least another few weeks should at least dampen a little bit of the interest, whilst you also have to question whether Diame would even be slighlty tempted with a move to a relegation dog fight.

There is no question that Diame would aid QPR for he is just the kind of player they need; someone who will fight tooth and nail for the cause and lift others around him however its unlikely that West Ham will let their star performer of the season thus far leave on the cheap whilst there would need to be some serious sweet talking needed to tempt him to join the basement club.
