“We are not going to spend crazy money!”

That is the message from the GFH Capital group who have just completed their protracted £52 million takeover of Leeds United FC.

It has been one of the longest sagas this season but now that the deal has been completed it appears a new dawn is about to start at Elland Road.

The new owners want to make sure there is a sustainable and successful future at the club but to do that they have made it clear to fans and everyone connected with Leeds Untied that they are not going to make the mistake of other owners and spend crazy money to ensure success is a result in the immediate future and not paying attention to the profit and loss of the club.

The new owners were impressed with the atmosphere at the match on Wednesday against Chelsea and they want to try and bring that kind of atmosphere back to the club for every match.

The club needs some serious investment to help them achieve the goal of one day returning to the Premiership, but there hasn’t been a timescale put on the plan as they don’t want to rush the process.

Neil Warnock will remain in charge of the club as they feel he was one of the reasons why they wanted to purchase Leeds United as they appreciate what Warnock is about and the passion and effort he puts into his team.

In the distant future GFH Capital will look to put plans into place to buy back Elland Road so that the stadium again belongs to the club.
