Corinthians match winner a target by Premiership club

Striker Paolo Guerrero is a target for Chelsea after they were impressed with his performance in the Club World Cup final. However if Chelsea want to purchase Corinthians’ top man then they have been told to come up with a £30 million cheque.

Chelsea have opened talks with the 28 year old from Peru but they face fierce competition to land Guerrero’s signature from the likes of Fiorentina, Athletico Madrid and Juventus.

If Guerrero was to leave for £30 million the Brazilian club would make ten times as much on him as they paid for him back in July when they got him from Hamburg for only £3 million. Everyone’s attention was drawn to Guerrero when he impressed at Bayern Munich and was scoring goals at will.

He bagged 45 goals in 66 games for the Bayern Munich B team before scoring 10 goals in 27 matches, a record that most teams took note on.

Since that day in Yokohama Guerrero’s price has gone through the roof and now Chelsea will have to decide on which striker they are going to go for and how much they are willing to pay. After all their last purchase of a striker hasn’t really gone as to plan as they had first hoped when they spent the money.
