Tottenham will have to cope without their star man

Tottenham Hotspur’s star man Gareth Bale is set to be out for two weeks as he picked a hamstring injury in yesterday’s 0-3 win at Craven Cottage.

In form striker Jermain Defoe believes Spurs will cope without him even if he will be big gap in the AVB’s team.

If was clear what Bale had done at the weekend as he pulled his hamstring whilst shooting at goal. As well as losing Bale Tottenham also lost defender Michael Dawson after just 15 minutes however it is thought that he may be available for the weekend if recovery goes well.

Defoe stated that because of Bale’s amazing pace and the way he plays it will be hard to find a replacement for two weeks but Defoe has faith in the rest of squad and feels someone can come in and do a job during the Welshman’s absent.

Summer signing Clint Dempsey has played in a similar role to Bale when he was at Fulham and after the injury Dempsey went over to the left side and looked more than comfortable playing in that position and ensuring he supported Defoe in attack.

As well as other players being able to cope Defoe is also more than capable of being relied on as he already has 12 goals to his name so far this season.

The guy spends all his time diving to the floor in an attempt to cheat the ref, perhaps all that rolling around is what caused his injury?
