Reds target another striker

There has been a massive striker shortage at Anfield ever since deadline day in August when Rodgers and co let Carroll go on loan without a replacement coming in.
The lack of striking power will be on display this weekend when Liverpool travel to Upton Park to face a inform West Ham without Luis Suarez who has collected 5 yellow cards.
But fair play to Brendan, as he said his first target in January is to find another striker and the latest front man to be linked with Liverpool, is Lyon forward Bafetimbi Gomis.
Liverpool Scouts were present in the stands in the week as they saw Gomis bag a hat trick against Marseille, the win sent Lyon to the top of Ligue 1.
Gomis would be an ideal signing for the Reds as he has strength, good technical ability as well as speed to ensure he is always in the right positions to score.
The only fear for some Liverpool fans is that he is a similar player to Andy Carroll and he didn’t get a chance under the new manager, so will this be the case with Gomis if Rodgers manages to capture the French international.

It isn't just a striker we need ? Ridding anfield of the Shambolic signings of FOOLGLISH is the number one task ? Yet trying to get players off the wage bill like Carroll £80 grand, downing £70 grand,Henderson £60 grand,it just isn't gonna happen ? There on far too much cash to walk out and take less money else where ?
Instead of Gomis we should go for 1 of these players:
Nolito/Walcott/Aubameyang/Adrian
Dan Clark, it is unbecoming of a so-called football writer like yourself to compare Gomis, a decent footballer, with Carroll, who not only plays but looks like a donkey.
If he wouldn't fit in like Andy Carrol then why would Brendan Rodgers want to sign him? haha
