A new twist in the Sneijder saga

The on-off will-he-won't-he Wesley Sneijder to Manchester United affair has another twist today. As reported by talksport.co.uk it could be off again and this time it's got nothing to do with Sneijder, United or Inter Milan. Mrs Sneijder, otherwise known as Yolanthe Cabau or the Boss, has said that "he is happy in Milan."
So that's it Wesley, you've been told. Mrs Sneijder has clearly been studying the paintings of L.S. Lowry and doesn't fancy it. Despite the fact she'd only be swapping one industrial northern town for another, the lady is not for moving.
Sir Alex Ferguson may well miss out on his man, again. Having struggled and said goodbye to one rather famous midfielder with a strong wife already he may be content to give up on this one. After the way Tom Cleverley played against Sunderland last weekend he might be forgiven for allowing Sneijder to slide. Not a midfield problem completely solved but there might be light at the end of the tunnel.
Sneijder is still embroiled in contract negotiations. The issue apparently is that he has been asked to take a cut in his wages as Inter Milan attempt to get their finances under control. So the choice is less money or a move away from Milan Mrs Sneijder. It's amazing how lovely Manchester suddenly looks when money becomes involved isn't it....?
