Joe Cole could be set for a London return

The man who reportedly earns £90k per week for doing next to nothing is ready fleece another club for a fortune.

Sam Allardyce is willing to fund a return to West Ham for the midfielder, according to the Sun.

Joe Cole- a product of the prestigious West Ham academy who progressed into the first team and engraved his name into their first team from 1998-2003 when he moved across the capital and signed for Chelsea. When he was linked to a move up to Liverpool people laughed it off, after all he was born and raised in London and had spent the entirety of his career in the city, but the rumours were true and he duly dressed in his Beatles attire and headed north.

However, it wouldn’t be long before he was calling for Help! Up on the Mersey and he soon lost any hope of becoming a regular, and as a result was sent to France to prove his worth with Lille where he apparently sang ‘Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner’ as his initiation.

You can take the boy out of London…

Managers have come and gone since Cole’s arrival at Anfield but one thing they have all had in common is that they all have plans in which he doesn’t feature, so the time has come for him to steal a living from another club.
