Chelsea eyeing a replacement if Cole leaves Stamford Bridge

Another player that could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge is left back Ashley Cole. Cole’s contract is nearing its end and if Chelsea want to cash in on their prized left back then they may have to soon let him go sooner rather than later.

PSG have been the team that are heavily linked with the player as their spending power and funds may persuade Cole to move, however Cole may want to play for a more recognised club in the European circuit.

As a precaution Chelsea are now looking for replacements in case Cole does depart, a name that has emerged is Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao who is being pushed out at Real Madrid. Coentrao is valued at £12 million and is currently under contract and therefore Madrid may want to sell him.

As well as Coentrao others are in contention to leave as Madrid need to find some funds so they can prepare for a big money spend in the summer transfer window.

If Coentrao isn’t available then Chelsea may have to look closer to home. Although they don’t feel he is ready yet Ryan Bertrand may an option for the future if he is given more time to improve and grow as a player.
