      Another striker linked with Liverpool

After the weekend’s result Liverpool appear to be desperate for a striker as they continue to rely on having only one recognised striker in their squad.

The latest player linked with the club is Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz. The striker has been in good form of late having scored 6 goals in the Champions league and 11 goals in the Turkish league.

Yilmaz was under close scrutiny as the game this weekend against rivals Fenerbahce was watched by scouts from Anfield.

Yilmaz is only the second player to play for the four most successful Turkish clubs and his strong powerful presence makes him a handful to deal with.

His quality was shown last season in the Turkish league when he scored 33 goals in 34 matches for Trabzonspor. It would be interesting to see what Yilmaz would be like in the England as it is a big step from the Turkish league to the Premiership.

For his national side Yilmaz has 6 goals in 21 appearances 3 of his goals came in the qualification stages for Euro 2012.

If the Turkish striker was to join Liverpool he would be only the third striker in the squad to be a regular at senior level behind Luis Suarez and the injured Fabio Borini.
