Could Roman Pavlychenko be returning to England?

Former Spurs forward Roman Pavlychenko could be set for a return to the Premier League says the Evening Standard.
The big Russian left London a year ago in an £8m deal taking him to Locomotiv Moscow but has scored just six goals for his new club. This hasn’t stopped Reading sounding him out as a replacement for their own misfiring Russian Pavel Pogrebnyak.
The Royal's owner Anton Zingarevich has been in Moscow this week scouting for new striking talent to fire his side to safety after a disappointing start to the season which has seen them win just one game from their first 16. Although he impressed on loan at Fulham last season Pogrebnyak has only managed two goals in the league for Reading.
Replacing one big Russian striker with a rather average scoring record for another seems like something of an unimaginative transfer policy from the clubs Russian owners, however and if they really are serious about establishing the Royals as a top-flight side then they must be prepared to cast their net a little wider and spend a little more to bring in a long term forward replacement who can hang around longer than Pavlyuchenko and offer a more consistent source of goals.
