Harry could be tempted by Anelka move

Despite the general consensus being that QPR need stability to survive rather than yet another new set of players Harry Redknapp already appears to be getting twitchy with regards to bringing in new faces. ESPN Soccernet have indicated that a move for Nicolas Anelka would be of interest to him should the former Chelsea become available during January. Recently Anelka has been making murmurings of discontent with his lucrative life in Shanghai and its likely he would be open to a return to the Premiership in January. His huge money move to Shenua has not exactly gone to plan and it would seem that the well travelled Frenchman might well be looking for a way out and Loftus Road could well be his potential escape route.
Having played and scored goals for no less than five English clubs there is no question that Anelka has the pedigree to still make an impact in the English football, the only worry is that like so many other members QPR squad he is a player at the tail end of career and there are doubts over whether he would have the stomach and determination for a relegation battle. Nevertheless Ranger’s strikers are hardly pulling up any trees right now with Bobby Zamora’s three goals thus far being the best achieved, so few could blame Redknapp for being tempted to try and shake up his forward line. Harry is of course trying to play down the transfer window and has previously indicated that Rangers will not make wholesale changes during it, but should a player of Anelka’s talents and profile be offered to him you would think the transfer loving ex Spurs boss would find it hard to turn down.
