    Appleton next in Pompey exodus?

Michael Appleton is on a very short, shortlist for the Blackpool job according to BBC Sport.

The Portsmouth manager (who has been doing a paper round in order to earn some money whilst running the south coast club) will I'm sure be glad to move on.  Blackpool, despite currently lying 16th in the Championship and not winning in the last five games, are at least a club with some stability and senior players.

Appleton's task at Blackpool will be to push the Golf coast team up towards the playoffs in a bid to bring Premiership football back to Bloomfield Road.  Surely a much more pleasant challenge than having to pedal and sell vital organs in order to power the lights at Fratton Park.  If he does get the job and leave, Lord only knows who will be next in line to attempt to bring back some pride to Pompey.  I'm sure it'll be an even shorter short list with only one name who could possibly be up to the job, Superman.
