      Pep-ed up for City

You can't really trust people; as Super Hans from Peep Show once said: “People voted for the Nazis and like Coldplay.”

The reason why you can't trust people is that people have ulterior motives to their actions that are generally unknown to us and even you're incredibly cynical, you still may not guess what they're other motives are.

In that regard, why would a FIFA agent say that walking football messiah Pep Guardiola has lined up to be the boss of Manchester City? That is the story reported by the Sun.

The paper quotes FIFA agent Francois Gallardo who told a Spanish radio station that City are already planning to replace current boss Roberto Mancini in the summer.

Gallardo told the radio station that Guardiola has signed a pre-deal to be the next manager of City, no matter who else makes offers or advances for him.

Why Mr Gallardo would give away this information is a matter for elsewhere- whether he has vested interests or just wants to be listened to is anyone's guess- but it makes a good enough story anyway.

The report comes after City have brought in ex-Barca bigwigs Txixi Bergiristain and Ferran Soriano at the upper echelons of the club.
