      Sneijder linked with Manchester move

Given that he was linked with Manchester United for about three years and United's central midfield is still a little bit iffy, one would have thought any hint of Wesley Sneijder wanting to leave Inter Milan would see him linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Sneijder, according to the Metro, has admitted he may want to leave Inter in January as he is currently banned from featuring for the first team until he signs a new contract at the club which includes a large wage cut.

The Dutch midfielder is reported to be furious and is unwilling to accept the conditions leading him to look at other options and a move away.

The Metro reports that rather than United being interested in the 28-year-old, cross-city rivals City are interested in him.

United, Schalke and Russian super-rich club Anzhi have all been linked with moves for the midfielder, but the paper believes City are the ones who really want him.

The Metro states that City boss Roberto Mancini has twice tried to buy Sneijder for City and reports in Italy state that he could be available for £15million in January if he remains available then.
