Leeds will winger to Elland Road

Leeds have made their first signing of the GFH era.
All is good in the world of Leeds United at the moment, with a new takeover finally materialising and sparking what fans see as a revival of the giants from Yorkshire.
Despite their lowly position of 18th in the Championship at present, Leeds are looking to start their climb back to the English topflight immediately with a very shrewd piece of business, signing Jerome Thomas from West Brom until the New Year.
I can hear the gulping of Yorkshire Gold oop north as we speak.
As happy as the Leeds faithful are that there are new owners at the helm of Elland Road, there are still a few mumbles about how Ken Bates was still going to be part of the hierarchy, so this move may have been seen as an early Christmas present to reduce the groans, after all, stick a red suit on Bates and there is a remarkable resemblance to Mr Claus himself.
Bates is slightly less popular than St Nick, mind you.
Is this the start of Leeds United’s ambition to reinstate themselves as a Premier League side and perhaps squeeze their way into Europe? It is far too early to tell, but the acquisition of Jerome Thomas is certainly a step in the right direction, in my humble opinion.
