Striker grabs loan extension at Glovers

The brilliantly named Paddy Madden is staying in Somerset, according to News and Star.

The Carlisle striker has been a huge hit at Huish Park during his month-long loan deal, scoring five in five, and there are whispers circulating in thick west country accents that the 22-year old could be joining permanently in January.

The Irishman is said to be in favour of the move and has scheduled a tractor to pick him up from his current residence in time for their FA Cup clash away at Preston, although it is unsure whether the Cumbrians’ boss Greg Abbott will allow him to play.

Come on Greg, don’t be a party pooper.
