      Brum set for Italian takeover

Mumma mia, could Birmingham’s turbulent off-field problems be coming to an end?

When you think of Birmingham City, your mind probably boggles back to their playing days in Europe, their years in the Premier League or perhaps that fortunate League Cup victory over Arsenal a few years back which saw Alex McLeish lift the trophy for the first time since the ‘60s.

Now, struggling in the Championship and with owners banged up abroad, the club are in desperate need for a shake up.

The BBC are reporting that a formal bid for the Brummy side has been made by the extravagant Gianni Paladini in the region of £30m.

You may remember him from such shows as ‘QPR: The four year plan’ where the crazy Italian lived up to his country’s stereotype by, more often than not, displaying his fiery opinions to the players.

The Blues’ current co-owner Carson Yeung is awaiting a trial in Hong Kong regarding money laundering accusations and the millions from Paladini’s colossal bank account looks to be enough to secure him his local club.

      Ciao for now, Carson.
