      Liverpool rule out Suarez sale

      Talk about stating the obvious.

The Telegraph are reporting that Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has refused to entertain the prospect of selling star striker Luis Suarez in January.

Reports emerged last week that Manchester City were set to target the Uruguayan international, who's two goals against Wigan on Saturday took him to the top of the Premier League scoring charts with 11 goals.

Liverpool fans will now hope that their chairman's words should put the issue to bed and ensure that their only fit senior striker, and let's face it even if Fabio Borini was fit to play, their only striker or even player capable of regularly finding the net or even threatening the opposition defence, will remain at Anfield.

Can you imagine where Brendan Rodgers would be without Suarez so far this season? The manager would certainly probably still be speaking of his "project" just needing that little bit more time before it finally magically clicks and his side turn into the next Barcelona.
