    Ellington’s sights set on Scunny

Nathan Ellington, yes THE Nathan Ellington, is set to join Scunthorpe United on a month loan. I know, I couldn’t believe it either. Nathan Ellington is still trying to make a career in football.

Not only is Ellington one of the biggest wastes of space I have ever seen on a football pitch, but his car crash of a career has been carved out by Paul Jewell, the man with a lower win percentage than Marlon King’s solicitor.

Respect has to go to the Duck, as he is known by some, for climbing out of non-league football to apply his *somewhat useless* trade in the Premier League, and to warrant a career transfer fee which tops £8million, but his goal record of 1 in every 4 games proves that he has punched above his weight for his entire career, even when he played for Greek outfit Skoda Xanthi FC.

I’ve never heard of them either, but the capacity of their ground is just 7,000.

Anyway, the Ipswich striker, who has failed to hit the net in any of his 17 league appearances (albeit mostly from the bench), is on his way to Scunthorpe United and will meet his fellow Irons next week.

    Good luck Scunny.
