    I Don like you, MK

AFC Wimbledon chairman Erik Samuelson has revealed that he will refuse to take his place in the MK Dons hospitality area.

Now, a history lesson for those of you that don’t know the circumstances surrounding this story:

Wimbledon FC were formed in 1899 and worked their way from non-league football up to the Premier League. However, when the FA allowed the club to relocate to Milton Keynes, supporters were angry and decided to create their own club; AFC Wimbledon. They have now replicated the climb from non-league football and are currently in League Two and the day has come that they will have to face the club they left behind (sort of), MK Dons.

I can hear the concrete cows mooing from here…

After the move to Milton Keynes, Wimbledon FC changed their name to MK Dons, which was, and still is, considered an insult to the AFC fans.

This is no normal rivalry. There is no excitement from the AFC Wimbledon fans, there is no desire to see their team face up against a club that they argue should not be allowed to exist, and there may not even be any away fans for the tie at Stadium:MK.

Supporters of the away side are considering a boycott of the fixture as they refuse to pay any of their hard earned into MK Dons, and Mr Samuelson understand the situation and will refuse to sit with the opposition board.

    Class dismissed.
