Barton settled at Marseille

Joey Barton wants to stay in Marseille says Sky Sports. Despite being banned for 12 games Barton has appeared for Marseille in the Europa League, something I can't imagine will happen any time soon with Queens Park Rangers, but is yet to make his debut in Ligue 1.
Apparently he is happy in France and said "I do not play for money, but for my club. If I were the one to decide, I would stay at Marseille". Barton is contracted at QPR for three more years but Philip Beard is thought to be considering offloading the Merseyside man to Marseille on a full time basis.
Barton, the Smiths-loving midfielder whose reputation proceeds him by about ten light years may finally have found somewhere where he can be sensible and just play football without the need to kick someone every five minutes. Watch this space.
