      A return for Bentley

On loan Spurs winger David Bentley could be returning to the club after sustaining an ankle injury whilst playing for Russian club FC Rostov.

Bentley is out of favour at White Hart Lane and this loan spell in Russia was his best chance of first team football but it appears that the Gods do not like Mr Bentley.

His career has taken a few twists and turns. I remember the potential he showed at Arsenal when he scored a sumptuous chip but his arrogance meant he was offloaded to Blackburn and then he showed his true colours by joining Spurs. The only notable thing he has done in a Spurs shirt is score a wonder goal against Arsenal in a 4-4 draw a few years ago.

Hopefully, that inflated ego is doing OK out in Russia despite the possibility of having to return to North London to carry out bench warming duties.
