North of Italy or of London for Mbiwa?

Arsene Wenger is often criticised for his Ligue 1 heavy transfer policy. It can have good consequences when Gervinho’s on form or bad consequences like Park Chu-Young, but the less said about that the better.
Despite uncertainty as to whether players from the French Ligue will be able to make the leap to the premier league, rumours are that Arsenal are set to try again, but this time they will face Italian giants AC Milan for the players signature.
The player in question is 23-year-old French international Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. Arsene Wenger has made public his appreciation of the defender in the past and was linked with the defender last summer. This June Mapou will be out of contract but Arsenal will have to battle AC Milan for his signature. With the wage structure Arsenal are so insistent upon keeping up, Milan might be able to make Mbiwa an offer he can’t refuse.
