Liverpool prepare double La Liga swoop

TalkSPORT are today reporting that Liverpool are prepared to launch a double swoop for La Liga duo Arda Turan and Alexis Sanchez. The pairing, of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona respectively, are believed to be on the radar of Reds boss Brendan Rodgers following their poor start to the season.

Liverpool have picked up one win in the Premier League this season, scoring just nine goals, and a recent injury to summer arrival Fabio Borini has left Rodgers short up front. Both players have impressed for their respective clubs this season and there are some suggestions both club’s may be prepared to listen to offers for the widemen.

25-year-old Arda was heavily linked with a move to Anfield during his time with Galatasaray, while Sanchez, despite an impressive showing for the Catalan giants this season, has failed to find a regular starting spot under new head coach Tito Vilanova. It is beginning to look as though Rodgers’ decision to allow Carroll to leave for West Ham United without a replacement secured wasn’t the best of his short managerial career.
